  • "We loved our time at Villa Ilisio. The house has a unique vibe-it is very tranquil, cozy but spacious, nicely decorated and well-equipped. We started each day with nespresso coffee with a great foamed milk (foamer is in the kitchen!) listening to the birds sitting on olive tree next to the house. The area is very calm and picturesque. Kitchen with big island was a perfect place for cooking, and it was equipped with everything you may need for making a good meal. Local herbs in the garden enhanced our meal. We enjoyed also beautiful sun in the afternoon inside the house and spacious terrace outside. Both bathrooms are good size, full of natural light and have a home spa feeling. Bed is huge and also comfortable. We would love to come back! Highly recommended experience! Our host was super informative and very responsive."

There is a book in the house with really nice tips to explore the surroundings, as well as 2 other local guidbooks.   • "We stayed for a week in this beautiful, peaceful part of Crete, away from mass tourism. It’s a place where you can do your shopping, drink coffee, and dine out among the locals. We were here in November, and the temperature was perfect—between 20 and 25 degrees. The nearby beaches and the beach of Agia Galini are also wonderful. There are several hiking options in the area, with small gorges leading to the sea. The house is fantastic—very neat and clean, beautifully decorated in a calm, natural style, and equipped with all modern comforts.
